About Mrs. Oliveira
Hello, my name is Jamie Oliveira and I am extremely excited to be teaching fourth grade at Amador Elementary School this year. This will be my twenty-second year teaching, and my sixth-year teaching fourth grade. Previously I taught third grade for three years in Wisconsin and sixth grade math and science for thirteen years in Cupertino, CA.
I earned my bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in Elementary Education with a minor in Learning Disabilities. Shortly after moving to California, I continued my education at San Jose State and earned a Master’s degree in Administration.
When I am not teaching, I love reading, crafts, and spending time with my family. My husband and I have two sons who bring excitement, enthusiasm, and joy to our lives. We are thrilled to live in such a vibrant and wonderful town.
Perhaps most importantly, I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to this community as a teacher and positive role model for your children. I strongly believe in cultivating curiosity and a love of learning that will last a lifetime. My goal for every child is to nurture their innate love of learning by providing a safe, supportive, stimulating, and positive environment.
Finally, if you would like to expand your personal library by ordering books that inspire your child, please consider ordering books through Scholastic at any point this school year. I encourage you to use our class code: LR9CN
I am very much looking forward to a phenomenal year with you and your children! And I’m so grateful for all the support and encouragement I received from the Amador community the past few years. This is a great school district!
